About the Artist
Nicole Lenzi's interest in unconventional drawing began during undergraduate in a class called
Experimental Drawing and continued through her graduate school studies. Her work examines how drawing and space can affect and redefine the other. She takes a multi-dimensional approach that includes installation, spatial interventions, and works on paper. The principles of Taoism serve as a guide to propel works forward. Lenzi has exhibited most recently at Delaware Center of Contemporary Art, Caladan Gallery, Colorado State University, and Flashpoint Gallery. She is currently working on a installation that will grow and change (and be documented in different phases) over the next year.
Lenzi earned her B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and M.F.A. at MICA.
