I have recently begun exploring the relationship between drawing and daily life . I am interested in how drawing can inform how I see and experience everyday tasks and how they can bring a new perspective to the medium I question how the creative process can foster mindfulness and reflection when performing mundane or routine activities like running errands or taking a walk after work.
Walking Drawings began as a project called Passing Through, orchestrated by artist Sarah Tutt. I found walking while drawing (and drawing while walking) really aligned with both old and new interests of mine as an artist, so I have continued the series, tweaking it to fit into my daily life. This series explores how the medium can merge with the everyday experience.
I draw in between errands and taking walks after work, over a few or several minutes time. Pathways are mapped with lines and scribbles on my paper.
